D*rby striker Rob Earnshaw is set to hold talks with Nottingham Forest over a possible £2.5m move to the City Ground - Once he gets back off his holiday!

Earnshaw, 27, has been allowed to leave the Rams following their humilating relegation from the Premier League, finishing with a record low 11 points.

"We have agreed a fee with Nottingham Forest for £2.5m and Rob Earnshaw is speaking to them," D*rby's Paul Jewell told BBC Radio Derby.

"I have given him the option of speaking to them or staying here and he wanted to speak to them."

Earnshaw was signed last summer by ex-Rams boss Billy Davies for £3.6m but has failed to hold down a first-team spot. Jewell went on to say: "I think it's a fair price. It's a loss of £1.1m over a year but as I've said, I want to change things around quite drastically and everyone has a price."
