Whats the Stadium like?

Capacity 36,310

I have sat in all 4 stands. I've been in the dressing room. I've been in the corporate bit for lunch. I've been in the player's lounge and the director's box. And I can whole-heartedly say it's very nice. But it's no excuse for the two effing big poles that hold up the East stand. If you get stuck behind one of these, you're knackered. I have. Twice. The first time i was little, and the kindly steward said i could move round to other side of it to watch the match. There are 2 Sony Jumbotrons at both ends of the stadium which will show you the match and 'safe' highlights (nothing controversial - it was outlawed after it showed Teddy Sheringham quite clearly onside during a match against Newcastle - i may have made that up, but anyway).

For the average fan, it's a stadium with fair to middling facilities. You can get the usual beverages at the various kiosks dotted around the concourse inside the ground.

But it's a tight ground, you always seem close to the action, wherever you sit and if Spurs play anything like they did in the 2007/08 season, you'll see an average of 17 goals per match.

At this juncture, I have to point out that there are 3 merchandise shops near the ground. 3!?!? It's probably because the real estate around the ground nearby is taken up mainly with (and i have to be careful here) ethnic shops. Safe to say, if you want some silk, kosher produce, an apple or some potatoes, you're sorted.

What are the Half-Time Pies like?

I once walked all the way around the stadium, and it took me 15 minutes (bear with me on this, i'm going somewhere...) - which equates to about a mile if you walk an average of 4-5mph. For that reason, I would then like to propose the Spurs Burger Mile! Literally every 30 or so yards is burger van, selling the usual grub used mainly to soak up the beer you've consumed on the way.

Where can i get a pint?

Being a London borough, there's quite a lot of places to choose from. The local brewery has not restricted their beers to one pub chain, so all the pubs are effectively 'free house'. I would however, say that away fans should be going in pubs nearer the tube station, Seven Sisters. Especially if you're wearing red and support a team who nomadically turned up close by in North London (they originated in Woolwich, so Tottenham will forever be the pride of North London, unless Barnet do loads better.)

How do i get there?

Going by car? Well, then more fool you. You're better off driving to Hillingdon (West London, most fans will be coming from that way at a guess) and getting the tube to Seven Sisters. however, you could drive in and park in one of the 'unofficial' car parks dotted about near the ground. You need to take the A406 towards Edmonton, then the ground is well signposted frmo there. The main problem in driving is that it will take you approximately 45mins-1hour to just get off the High Road. Then the A406 is always busy...

So yeah, tube is the best bet. Get to Seven Sisters, then walk along the High Road, with everyone else.
